THE GRAND TETONS

The words to "America The Beautiful"  and "My Country Tis Of Thee" crossed my mind today....

America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

 (My Country, 'Tis of Thee)
Commonly referred to as America
by Rev. Samuel F. Smith

My country, 'tis of Thee,
Sweet Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountain side
Let Freedom ring.

My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills,
My heart with rapture thrills
Like that above.
We are camping in Jackson Hole, Wyoming tonight.  What a neat town.    I am adding a few pictures taken on our ride today across the Grand Tetons.  I left my camera on the bus that we took this evening to get dinner.  I am sad.  Lost a lot of today's pictures.  Boyd had taken a few but I was snapping pictures all the way.  Some of you have emailed that you are having trouble leaving a comment.   I have asked my sister to email me with directions so you can comment if you like.

Pray my camera is found.  It had the best zoom of the two.

More tomorrow.
