When we arrived  in Odessa Missouri,  We had traveled our first 1000 miles.  We were only 29 miles from the Kansas border but decided to camp for the evening.

Next stop,  Salina, Kansas, we toured President Dwight Eisenhower’s museum, presidential library and home place.  In the museum was the most famous war statue copied from the picture of the World War II end, the sailor kissing his girl!!
