WE MADE IT!!

We arrived the Alaska border on June 28th and were excited to have reached our goal. The first two or three hours were wilderness so turning our phones back produced a no signal.   We our now 4 hours behind our eastern time and still trying to get used to the daylight pouring into our windows at midnight.   We saw one moose along our route to Fair banks.   We are camped in Fairbanks near North Pole, Alaska.  We mailed a few cards from the North Pole post office.  Neat little town a few miles from Fairbanks!  We  will stay in Fairbanks for a few days and catch up with a friend, Patty  from our church in GA.    Her husband is stationed here and is in the Army band.  We hope to hear him play tomorrow and attend a salmon bake.

Pictures below are of the Alaska Pipe line, glacier ice, the border of Alaska.

Raining in Fairbanks.

More later!!
